About Annalie
Annalie has been involved in coaching and fitness since 2014, after transforming herself from a couch potato to Ironman finisher (although that didn’t happen overnight!). And this inspired her to set out to help others achieve their goals too, qualifying as a personal trainer and triathlon coach.
She spent more years than she cares to admit in a demanding corporate career. But this means she has an excellent understanding of how hard it is to keep all of the training/family/work/life balls in the air. And sometimes which ones you have to drop.
Annalie has participated in multiple endurance events, including triathlon, cycle races and ultra marathons. Her happy place is usually on her bike. Her unhappy place is anything related to swimming. But somehow that always seems to be the part of a triathlon she places highest in her age group.
Annalie doesn’t have an athletic bone in her body so any success has been a result of hard graft and sheer bloody mindedness. Oh, and a bit of strength training too. As a certified personal trainer, she knows exactly how important strength work is as a way of reducing the risk of injury, and building a better brain as well as body.
Stuff I’m proud of (but not quite sure how I got there):
Age group winner: IronMaori Quarter 2019
Ironman World Championship Finisher 2023
Multiple Ironman and half Ironman finisher, and pretty much every other distance
Lost count of the number of half marathons but definitely only two standalone marathons (without a silly swim and bike first)
Certified Personal Trainer
